NEW PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirsch-Taylor Consulting partnered with SOM to complete a planning study for Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. The study, which was adopted by the Chicago Plan Commission in May 2020, provides a blueprint, outlined in a set of 10 “Ideas for Action,” that the City, its partner agencies, and the neighborhood more broadly can use to position these corridors for future success.
Completed an analysis and participated in a grassroots panel with representatives from the City of Chicago, Block 37, Broadway in Chicago, BOMA, Cook County and Macys, to study potential improvements to the Chicago Pedway. Focus was on a mix of private a public investment to increase utilization of and tax benefits from the Pedway space.

Provided market and financial advice to identify the feasibility of a public-private redevelopment of historic Cook County Hospital. Presented to the County various ownership and development scenarios, balancing risks and rewards and utilizing TIF funds and Historical Tax Credits as incentive to private developers.
